The biggest surfing event in the Durban calendar! The event is one of the longest running professional surfing events in the world and has established legendary status in the world of surfing ever since its inception in 1969.

New Pier dished out the goods for this year's Goodwave competition. A promising swell was ruined slightly be a driving wind, but the surfing was top level!! Great tube rides, big carves and some impossible take-offs kept the crowd on the beach entertained.

Congratulations to Shane Thorne who took the event honours.

Durban, South Africa

These are a collection of pics from our sessions in Kwazulu Natal on the east coast of South Africa. The water is warm (20 - 25C) pretty much all year round and there is surf around every point!

This small coastal town in the Eastern Cape needs no introduction in the surfing world. Jeffreys Bay is home to the world famous right-hand, point break Supertubes. Get this spot on the right day and you could be looking at rides of up to 5 minutes long!!

Durban is regarded as South Africa's "Surf City". With warm waters the year round, consistent surf and protection from the predominant south westerly winds, its not hard to see why!
